What does engaged, transformative, scholarship look like within the academy? How can academics best contribute to public discourse on social justice issues? What skills can graduate students cultivate now, in order to develop careers as engaged scholars?
Graduate students are invited to join Dr. Lisa Dodson (Brandeis University) and Dr. Luisa Deprez (University of Southern Maine) for a discussion of these issues over lunch. Dr. Dodson and Deprez have extensive careers as engaged scholars, and are excited to help graduate students develop skills in engaged, transformative, and publicly accessible work.
