About CESJ

The University of Kentucky Center for Equality and Social Justice (CESJ) is a new interdisciplinary research center that supports scholarly efforts that seek to foment equality and social justice.

The overarching mission of the Center for Equality and Social Justice is to promote equality and social justice through collaborative scholarship and education and to help advocate for social justice within our communities, public policies, and laws. 

The specific aims are threefold:
  1. to better understand social inequality, and how to promote and ensure social justice, through collaborative scholarship and education;
  2. to empower scholars, students, and the community to advocate for greater social justice; and
  3. to help shape policies and practices to reduce existing inequality and ensure social justice

 

Office

Our office is located in 351 Patterson Office Tower.

Office hours:

Tuesdays: 1:00 - 5:00 PM

Wednesdays: 10:00 - 5:00 PM
